Standard & Poor's recently released the Dividend Aristocrats Class of 2009. This year, the list consists of 52 companies, while last year it had 57. According to S & P's research, dividends make up at least one-third of total investor returns. Among the various statistics cited in the report, one of the most interesting was that in the US, between 2000 and 2008, total dividend income grew by more than 600%, while total interest income grew by only 189%. Also worth noting was that, for 2008 (through the end of November), the S&P 500 was down 38% while the Dividend Aristocrats were down only 22%.

Dividend growth was measured over the last 10 years, from the final quarter 1999 to the final quarter 2008. Also included is the percent each stock is below its 52-week high, based on closing numbers, Friday the 2nd.

faulty logic-- swooning over a character in a movie doesn't equal hitting on someone. men of all ages have been drooling over the likes of britney spears (when she first came out), taylor swift, and even dakota fanning now for ages. megan fox is something like 23 and i know for a fact that 40 year old men make no secret of wanting to bang her stupid.
as for cradle-robbing relationships, most girls i know date older guys, whereas dudes tend to date younger. way younger. case in point: a 32 year old male friend dating a 20 year old girl. for that matter, that same friend and i had sexy times and he's six years older than i am.
